The Workshop
A two day creative writing workshop taught in English.
Over the weekend we will undertake exercises to explore memory to recall long ago events and then look at the various ways we can effectively communicate those experiences in writing. I will be reading extracts from published memoirs, written in English, that show different styles and different ways of approaching memoir and we will undertake short written exercises to put what is learned into practice.
Some people come to my workshops because they want to write a memoir, some because the writing exercises are useful for other writing projects, some because they enjoy the challenge of guided creative writing time in English and sometimes because individuals want to investigate some aspect of their own history.
